Position Summary:

The Energy Rebate Manager plays a key role in facilitating the execution of EN‑POWER’s services. They manage and facilitate rebate and incentive programs administered by utility companies and agencies, such as the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), ConEdison, and National Grid.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Support stakeholder and project management of company-wide rebate and incentive projects, particularly those for NYSERDA, ConEdison, and National Grid, by:
    • managing and overseeing submission of program applications, including necessary documentation and energy data;
    • working with ENPG managers, engineers, auditors, and other staff to gather information and respond to stakeholders regarding project questions, concerns, and guidelines;
    • coordinating with ENPG Energy Data Managers to ensure timely collection of energy data;
    • managing client on-boarding calls with programming staff and conducting calls as needed for important projects;
    • assisting with managing workflow and requests for proposals;
    • stay abreast of the changing rebate landscape and periodically notifying the team with updates;
    • helping identify and recommend clients for programs as directed by senior ENPG management; and
    • supporting and helping project leads manage deliverables.
  • Support administration of company-wide rebate and incentive projects, particularly those for NYSERDA, ConEdison, and National Grid, by:
    • managing the influx of new project contracts to ensure accuracy, project scope, and proper recordkeeping;
    • organizing and updating project details in company database, including proactively identifying issues, recommending solutions to improve processes, and communicating with managers regarding project details and billing statuses; and
    • working with ENPG project managers and accounting manager to monitor/support proper client billing and collection.
  • Support company-wide proposals and sales by:
    • identifying opportunities for sales and marketing initiatives by leveraging knowledge of rebate landscape; 
    • creating and managing proposals, including stakeholder follow-up;
    • organizing and updating project details in company database; and
    • attending and speaking at stakeholder meetings, conferences, and other events to promote company activities

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science/studies, business, economics, policy, or other equivalent experience
  • Previous 4+ years continuous corporate experience, preferably in the sustainability or energy sector, a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with experience in Excel
  • Knowledge of energy and building industry, a plus 
  • Possess ability to perform physical tasks including but not limited to: Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time, reading and recording information on handwritten forms and computer screens
  • Authorized to work in the United States
